As a swim coach and instructor for all ages for over 40 years, I’m always staying abreast of equipment and tools I can use with my team & students to enhance their confidence and skills in the water. I’ve always used fins with my swimmers but when I read about the boost flipper, I wanted to try it to see how it differed from a regular swim fin…so I tested them for three months with varying ages (between 3-8) and skill levels from very beginners to swim team kids and I am totally impressed with the success my kids have had with them. Three things specifically make them super user friendly and effective: 1. The velcro allows the child to put them on easily themselves 2. The velcro allows the flipper to grow with the swimmer’s foot growth and 3. The width of the flipper truly provides a “boost” to the child as they’re developing their propulsive kick in the water. My kids love them and I highly recommend them for all levels for 3-8 year olds!
These gave my 8 year so much confidence in his swimming! He was nervous about swimming in the deep end and now can’t stop swimming all over the pool no matter the depth. Highly recommend!
I purchased these for my young son after reading about the adjustable straps, in hopes that we just will need to purchase one pair of swim fins. Over the summer we had numerous different kiddos at our pool and they all loved trying out the fins. I was amazed that a 3 and 8 year old could wear the same fins with the different size straps provided!
Our child (6) has been doing swimming lessons for four years, but was unable to swim longer than a couple feet without needing help. One day of wearing these flippers showed her how much kicking her feet helped. No matter how much you try to show them, it sinks in when they actually do it themselves and they see that now they can swim longer distances. In a few weeks she was able to swim unassisted with or without the flippers in our local lake. I would recommend to anyone who has children learning to swim, they are also comfortable and our kid loves using them.
They adjust so easily so I can use them for multiple kids. They work great, the kids can walk in them easily (even though we have told them not to 5000 times).

My 3 year old daughter had to have these fins when she saw her older friends wearing them. At first she would take them off immediately after jumping in the pool but then when I told her she’d be able to get the swim rings at the bottom of the pool faster, she wouldn’t take them off! They definitely helped her build confidence swimming and staying under water for longer periods of time. They also helped when I took her snorkeling in the ocean for the first time.
Our kids absolutely love their boost flippers! They give our 6 year old a boost in speed and our 4 year old is so much more confident in the water when he wears them.
